Instructions for MiniBrew Deep Cleaning

There are 2 cleaning procedures to accomplish the full deep cleaning cycle.

1. Alkaline Based Cleaner (removes primarily organic materials);

2. Citric Acid Based Cleaner (removes primarily calcified scale from surfaces).

Both the cleaning procedures can be performed by starting a CIP cleaning programme on your base station.

For the CITRIC ACID CLEANER you need to source 500ml of (cheap) white vinegar yourself! You can get this in every supermarket.

Good to know

The first step of the CIP cleaning cycle is the RINSE COUNTER FLOW state, in which water is pushed through the system. To prevent the system from pushing out all the Alkaline/Acid based cleaner, these components have to be added during a specific moment of the CIP process.

Procedure for Alkaline & Acid cleaning (read all the steps before execution)

1. Start a CIP cleaning cycle on your base station and follow the user actions to start the CIP cleaning process.

2. The CIP container will fill itself with water and flush the system for approximately 3 minutes. As soon as you see that no more water exits from the outlet hose, the flushing process has been completed.

3. This is the part where you have to intervene in the cleaning process. Turn the CIP container anti-clockwise so that it disconnects from the base station. 

You don’t have to remove the CIP container, only turn it so that the magnet inside the CIP container is no longer above the sensor.

ALKALINE CLEAN

4. Add 1 tablet of the alkaline cleaner into the CIP basket.

5. Turn the CIP container back in place as instructed by the app.

6. Resume the CIP process. The process will rinse itself at the end of the cleaning, so you can just follow the app from here on.

ACID CLEAN

      4. Remove the water from the CIP container.

      5. Mix 500ml of white vinegar with the entire content of the citric acid clean bag.

      6. Pour the mixture into the CIP container.

      7. Turn the CIP container back in place as instructed by the app.

      8. Resume the CIP process. The process will rinse itself at the end of the cleaning, so you can just follow the app from here on.
